Jia Yang did 2 years of research at NUS FST, with experience in the Sensory and Consumer Insights Department at Firmenich.

Her expertise in food science were also recognized through the prestigious Givaudan Food Excellent Prize.

Professor Ang

Chemistry Advisor

Wee Han is a Principal Investigator at the National University of Singapore with 20 years research experience in the field of bioinorganic chemistry. He is passionate about the study of metals in biology and has led several research grants on flavour science, seeking to apply his knowledge towards improving nutrition and flavour in alternative protein products. He is the Chair of the Advisory Committee on Hazardous Substances and Toxic Waste (National Environmental Agency) and represents Asia on the Executive Committee of the Society of Biological Inorganic Chemistry. Wee Han is also holding management appointments as an Associate Provost and a Vice Dean (Faculty of Science) in the National University of Singapore.

Dr Leong Lai Peng

Food Science Advisor

A distinguished food scientist and academic at the National University of Singapore and a current fellow of the Singapore National Institute of Chemistry. Holding the honorary secretary position at the Singapore National Academy of Science, she advocates for scientific excellence. Additionally, she actively participates in the Singapore Food Standards Committee and serves as a technical assessor for the Singapore Accreditation Council. Dr. Leong extends her expertise to the food industry through consultancy services, driving innovation and aiding in navigating industry complexities with her extensive knowledge.

Engineering Advisor

A distinguished scholar, elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and Japan Society for the Promotion of Science. Specializing in food biotechnology and safety, he holds a prominent position in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS).
